Position and Mission:

Reporting to our technical director and directly in contact with our clients, you will be involved in the study of electrical networks or energy systems with a strong electrotechnical component.
These activities are carried out as a team within our engineering office in Aix-en-Provence, in various sectors:

  • Integration of renewable energy (RE) power plants into the grid (onshore and offshore wind turbines, solar, biogas, etc.),
  • Design of RE production systems (tidal turbine, ocean thermal energy, wave energy…),
  • Connection of storage or hydrogen electrolysis units,
  • Development of microgrids in remote areas,
  • Development of transmission and distribution networks,
  • Analysis of sensitive electrical networks (nuclear power plant, datacenters …), with high safety and/or embedded requirements,
  • Development of electrical system simulators.

The studies address various technical challenges ranging from component sizing to energy quality analysis, grid code compliance, and static and dynamic stability analysis.

After analysing the client’s specific needs, you will study technical data, implement calculation software or simulators, analyse and format results and recommendations, and present the conclusions to the team and then to the client.

You will work on projects both in France and abroad in an international context.

Profile:

Electrotechnical engineer (or general engineer with a strong electrotechnical focus), with a good physical understanding, you should have an experience or an internship performed in an industrial environment.

Ideally, you have practical experience with simulation software used in our field of application (PowerFactory, Etap, PSS-E, Eurostag, Emtp, Pscad, Psim, Matlab…). English is required, and proficiency in another European language is desired.
